Her debut as a presenter was in 2002 on the Citytv channel in Bogotá, as an entertainment presenter and reporter for the informative City Noticias.
With her sense of humor, irreverence and overwhelming character, Azcárate became known much more in the Colombian media, when in 2003 she began to be part of the work table of the program El Mañanero de la Mega, along with fellow announcers Alejandro Villalobos and Cristina Camargo.
In November 2003, Alejandra returned as a tv presentator, this time in the section Descárate con la Azcárate de Noticias RCN of Colombia, in this way she became for 2 consecutive years one of the conductors of the broadcasts of the RCN Channel of the Fairs of Cali and Manizales, and the Barranquilla carnival.
In the middle of the second quarter of 2005, Alejandra and actress Isabella Santodomingo presented their Stand Up Comedy, called Los Caballeros las Prefieren Brutas, with total success in Bogotá and Medellín.
In 2005, Azcárate retired from RCN, to go to Caracol Radio where she presented two radio programs: El Gallo, which was broadcast simultaneously on the youth stations Los 40 Principales and Radioacktiva (Colombian radio stations), after a couple of months, this program was changed to La Cama, which was only broadcast by Los 40 Principales, this time Alejandra was with Roberto Velázquez, Antonio Casale and Santiago Molano.
The Time of Return on W Radio, the work table was made up of Alejandra, Alberto Marchena and Carolina Lezaca, Alejandra Azcárate was the announcer and director of the program, whose work table was made up of Santiago Molano, Manolo Bellon, Andrés Nieto Molina, among others. In this same year, Alejandra returned to the presentation, in Caracol Noticias, in the Angels and Demons section with the actress Isabella Santodomingo, from the National Beauty Contest in Cartagena.
After one year working at Caracol Radio, she decided to retire from the radio network to return to RCN Radio, this time to present again El Mañanero on La Mega and El Cocuyo on RCN Básica, together with the comedian Guillermo Díaz Salamanca and his team.
In November 2006, she entered acting, this time on the RCN Channel soap opera "En los tacones de Eva", playing the role of Laura, an ambitious and sentimentally unstable villain who did not know what to do with her life. She also played Renata Shewin. in the telenovela Amor en Custodia by RCN.
In 2010, she began working as a comedian in Los Comediantes de la Noche on Channel RCN, and also touring nationally in some theaters.
In 2011, Azcárate recorded a chapter for the series Mujeres Asesinas together with Verónica Orozco.
In 2012, Azcárate was a jury member of the program Colombia has talent on the RCN Channel. In that same year, she was the actress of the telenovela Muñeca Brava on RCN.
